Europe’s leading index provider STOXX Ltd., on November 5th, 2007 expanded range of European Blue-chip indices launching the DJ STOXX Balkan 50 Equal Weighted Index, STOXX Ltd., enabling investors to participate in the economic growth of the Balkan region.
The DJ STOXX Balkan 50 Equal Weighted Index currently tracks the performance of the largest and most liquid companies in Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey with a fixed number of 50 components. The equal weighting and the fixed number of components per country ensure that all eight countries of the underlying region are significantly represented in theindex.
