InterCapital Securities a.d. Beograd, as a member of the Belgrade Stock Exchange since 29.06.2007, is the first broker-dealer company which accepted the requirements prescribed by the Board of Directors of the Belgrade Stock Exchange for performing the activities of the market maker. The Exchange member InterCapital Securities accepted to be the market maker for the shares of the issuer Tigar a.d. Pirot, which is also the first listed security on the Prime Market of the Belgrade Stock Exchange, and thus obliged itself to contribute to the growth of liquidity and turnover of the shares of the corporation from Pirot by simultaneously placing buy and sell quotes.
Members of the Belgrade Stock Exchange who choose to perform the activities of a market maker will enjoy the benefit of a reduced Exchange commission for the transactions executed in the capacity of a market maker, as well as some forms of protection of market makers against an excessive daily turnover in a security trading (20% of the average daily turnover in the previous six months). In such cases, the market maker can withdraw from the market, even though he did not fulfill the necessary time requirements within one trading session.
