7,08%04.06.2026.Public Warning Regarding Internet and Telephone Fraud Attempts – False Representation in the Name of the Belgrade Stock Exchange
The Belgrade Stock Exchange (BGDX/formerly BELEX) once again warns the public about fraud attempts via telephone calls and the internet by individuals falsely presenting themselves as representatives of the Belgrade Stock Exchange or alleged investment companies associated with the “local stock exchange.”
According to available information, citizens are receiving calls from unknown individuals offering opportunities to trade gold, oil, and other financial instruments through alleged investment platforms. In certain cases, citizens are asked to transfer significant amounts of money to private accounts or accounts of third parties who present themselves as “financial assistants” or representatives of companies headquartered in Belgrade.
We emphasize that the Belgrade Stock Exchange does not offer the aforementioned “platforms,” “personal advisors,” or campaigns that require the payment of funds for trading, nor does it request the submission of personal data through unknown links, telephone calls, or advertisements on social media.
Such activities constitute an attempt to deceive citizens and may involve the unauthorized collection of personal and financial data.
We urge citizens to exercise particular caution, not to provide their personal and financial information to unknown persons, and not to make payments based on such offers.
